I have to say that Burial Mounds were better before in my opinion. It required more strategy than simple 1 vs 1. But overall the patch from Anet was great of course.

I guess I'm having fun. Went up in rank, got mad faction, personally did the last bit of damage to record 31 kills (who's counting? ), but as I end up having to PUG it all the time, I'd rather play some other game. Everyone in this game thinks they're so damn elite that they'll wait hours before launching because they want a perfect group, and then they get owned by the unworthy's. Today we took a group of 6 kd/as warriors, a mo/me and a mo/r, and almost got owned by the unworthy's, but then we got 3 wins in a row just running around group killing people. BTW, Winter really seems to lessen the effect of spike groups.

We did pretty good last night. We had several runs of winning 3-5x in a row in Tombs. We all earned so much faction we had to keep spending it.

Tombs is definitely finally fun. If my team got beaten, it felt like it was because the other team deserved the win due to better strategy or execution, not just because they were more willing to annoy others. I never left a battle dissapointed, since it was good show and good exp no matter if we won or lost.
Currently Tombs feels like fun for everyone, not just the few really good/experienced that could beat any most annoying spiritwall-building "strategy" ... if my today's no-TS/vent group could actually get a very close battle with the korean team that beat us in HoH, despite of us having lost our 3rd monk when his game crashed 3 maps earlier, it seems like PvP in GW is going the right direction. Hopefully it's not just because there is much more people PvPing this weekend so you don't always meet House Redfalls and the likes on your way up to the halls ^^.

It seems to require more in game strategy but a lot less variety in the builds being used...(so far) I gotta mention about the 'PvPX' lagfest which has so far pretty much wrecked the whole thing for me especially getting errors before entering the hoh..
Ended up the winning team had 2 henchman apparently- that was the lowest amount of henchman from all 3 teams, i guess thats a picture of how bad the lag is.

Well I guess that the lag is due to larger-than-normal numbers of players online this weekend to "farm" faction. I'm sure that, if the numbers stayed up (which is probably unlikely), server space would need to be added.

Yes you could call it that, but do you want to encourage that kind of thing? 2v1 on the better team? Maybe on the HoH, which is supposed to be a no-holds-barred free-for-all, but on other maps, I don't know.
|
Yes I do. Shit happens. You'll very rarely get 2 teams determined enough to 2v1 you.

Went with some pugs today, got into two 10 minute long 1v1s somewhere during that time. I wish I had more time to actually earn serious faction/fame today.
